"Tai chi instructor" is not such a great job title to covet. After all, for most martial artists, tai chi is a bit of a joke. Its for old people. Its too slow to work. It isn't even a martial art. These are the kind of jibes an instructor faces. Credibility issues.
This is why distance qualifications and fast-track teachers are particularly ridiculous. In an art that must prove its credibility in the modern world, what credibility can a fast-track teacher possibly have?
